Gf collection on the rise

The demand for separate collection of fruit and vegetable waste from high-rise buildings is increasing. How can we leverage our Swedish gf expertise in the Netherlands?

The transition to the circular economy should gain momentum with the From Waste to Resource (VANG) program. Separation at source is an instrument with great potential. For example, there is still a lot to be gained with GF waste from high-rise buildings. In Sweden, our gf containers have been successful for several years.

Successful in Sweden…

Separate collection of gf waste would produce poor quality compost and unpleasant odors. But with the right kind of collection, these objections disappear like Swedish snow under the sun. In Sweden it is perceived as easier and cleaner. Good information gives citizens a feeling of satisfaction: I’m doing it right, this is clean and pleasant. For example, putting a newspaper in the bottom of the bottle bank at home is a simple but effective tip in Sweden.

A word about the construction

The Metro® containers for gf waste in the Netherlands will have a completely unique construction with different specifications. They will be equipped with a ventilation system and a moisture-capturing double bottom. What immediately stands out is the smaller size: one and a half cubic meters. Therefore, the gf containers will be emptied more often, because of the quality of the compost. They will come to rest in a steel foundation.

Soon with you as well?

Our Metro® containers for gf waste in the Netherlands, developed for odor-proof operation and good compost, are coming. The first ones will be installed in spring 2018. Want to know more? If so, please contact your account manager or let us know via our contact form.
