Preview new generation Metro® insert column

With the arrival of the Metro® M162, the blueprint for the next generation Metro® insert column, VConsyst introduces an innovative concept. A first impression.

Innovation begins with interest

At VConsyst, we develop hardware, electronics and software in-house. Often proactively, such as the M162 prototype. Before a design emerges on the drawing board, we have already gathered a lot of inspiration by being curious. Questions that bubble up then are: what can we improve the ease of use, how do we bring functional design in harmony with the environment and how do we look at the economic factor?

New type of throw-in lock

The traditional double-shell throw-in drum devours space. The new throw-in drum allows the column to remain a lot more compact. User-friendliness also increases and there is much less chance of waste getting stuck in the column. The simple but efficient and solid construction is maintenance-free Bicycle Home Page. The 80L capacity of the throw-in bin can be easily reduced.

Compact design

The refreshing new design of the M162 is slim, compact and 30% smaller than the current Metro® insert column. The M162 is therefore an aesthetic eye-catcher in public spaces. The ergonomic take-up system can be concealed both above the insert column and under the cover. Any subsequent conversion of the take-up system is very easy and can even be done on site.

Easily accessible

In the design phase, easy maintenance was given high priority. Large doors and hatches make the column extra easily accessible, so that service work can be carried out quickly and easily. With the M162, there is no need to replace the entire insert column for minor damage.

Modular construction

In developing the M162, much attention was paid to its modular construction. For example, the reject bin can be changed on site in 30 minutes to a version suitable for the insertion of glass or paper. Preparations have already been made so that you can quickly and easily transform your residual bin into a raw materials bin.
